A period of 12 months should normally be dedicated to undertaking a <span class="hiddenSpellError" style="box-sizing: border-box;">taught</span> Masters course at a recognised centre of excellence, combined with up to 18 months to undertake a research project. Overseas allowances and collaborative travel costs will be given where appropriate. They have to be at an early stage in their careers, with limited research experience, but have a demonstrated interest in or aptitude for research. Applicants must be based in a low or middle-income country for their research project and must identify an eligible sponsoring institution in a low- or middle-income country to administer the Fellowship for the full tenure of the award.</div> <div style="background-color: white; box-sizing: border-box; color: #44494b; font-family: Montserrat, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; letter-spacing: 0.5px; line-height: 23.8px; margin-bottom: 0.821429em; text-align: justify;"> The taught course can be anywhere in the world, but fellows must be based in a low or middle-income country. Those intending to be based in the UK, Republic of Ireland or another high-income country are ineligible. Masters Fellowships in Public Health and Tropical Medicine are not available to researchers in India.
