To inspire essay topics, applicants may choose to refer to the <a href="http://www-pub.iaea.org/iaeameetings/50809/International-Conference-on-Nuclear-Security-Commitments-and-Actions" style="box-sizing: border-box; color: #5990ff; text-decoration: none;">conference webpage</a> for a list of high-level themes and planned technical session subjects.</div> <div style="box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 10px;"> The essays need to be less than 2,500 words and can be submitted in any of the official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish). Please refer to the <a href="http://www-pub.iaea.org/MTCD/Meetings/PDFplus/2016/cn244/cn244EssayCompetition.pdf" style="box-sizing: border-box; color: #5990ff; text-decoration: none;">Terms and Conditions</a> for details.</div> <div style="box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 10px;"> <strong style="box-sizing: border-box;">The Award</strong></div> <div style="box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 10px;"> On Friday 7 October the three selected winners will be annouced and they will receive a cash prize of €2 000 each and a certificate signed by IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano.</div> <div style="box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 10px;"> The winners' expenses to attend the conference and present their papers will be covered by the IAEA.</div> <div style="box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 10px;"> Winning essays will also be posted on the IAEA website.</div> <div style="box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 10px;"> The December conference will discuss the international community's experiences and achievements on strengthening nuclear security as well as identify future directions and priorities.
